Breastfeeding is not always easy, but getting expert support really can make all the difference. A Breastfeeding Medicine consultation can identify and treat a whole range of complex issues, including:

- latching challenges

- nipple pain and wounds

- low milk production

- hyperlactation (oversupply)

- slow weight gain

- breast pain and mastitis

- medical issues affecting breastfeeding

Consultations last 90 minutes, and include a personalised Treatment Plan sent to you, and 2 weeks of follow-up email support.

I offer breastfeeding consultations before baby has arrived, to ensure you are well prepared for your feeding journey. 

This can be particularly helpful if you have had a previous difficult breastfeeding experience. I can help with debriefing what happened, as well as proactively making sustainable feeding plans for your new baby. You deserve to enjoy feeding your baby!

Consultations last 60 minutes, and include a personalised Treatment Plan sent to you. If you then wish to book a postnatal feeding consultation too, I offer a 25% discount for this.

Induced lactation is the process of making milk without pregnancy or birthing. This may be used by parents who are adopting, having a baby via surrogacy, or for couples who wish to co-nurse.

Using a combination of breast stimulation and medication, we will work together towards your lactation goals. I will take a deep dive into your medical history to assess the most suitable option for you.

Please contact me as far in advance of your intended start date as possible - preferably at least 6 months. The initial consultation lasts 90 minutes, and includes a personalised Treatment Plan. I recommend booking a minimum of one follow-up consultation, to ensure we can closely monitor your progress.

Complex issues may benefit from a follow up consultation. This allows us to monitor your symptoms, your baby's weight and feeding behaviour, and evaluate the need for further treatment.

Unlike most IBCLCs, I can offer a range of blood tests when required. These can be particularly helpful if you are medically complex, or have low milk production. Blood tests are done in your own home.

I can also prescribe medications relevant to breastfeeding problems. These are delivered to your home the following day.

All blood tests and prescriptions are done following a consultation.
